Chapter 63 by airwreck airwreck

What happens next?

You pick up the girls.

You finish typing up an email before you head out of the office at five and head to your car. After sliding into the driver seat, you send a quick text message to Lisa.

Me: I'm on the way to pick you up. Be there in less than ten if traffic isn't bad!

Lisa: :D

Luckily the streets during the evening rush hour is not bad as you thought it would be and you manage to get to Lisa's store just in time.

"Hey, how was your day?" she chirps as she sits in the front passenger seat.

"A couple of meetings, some emails to reply to but overall productive," you reply as you pull into traffic. "And how was yours?"

"I made a nice commission from a guy who bought a huge diamond engagement ring!" she cheers. "Ka-ching!"

"Nice! So how are you going to celebrate?" you ask.

"With you tomorrow over dinner, remember?" she giggles.

"Oh yeah..." you smile.

"Sara doesn't mind, does she?" Lisa asks.

"I haven't told her," you answer.

"You haven't?" she gasps.

"We're just roommates, remember?"

"Roommates that fuck each other," she corrects.

"Well, we're neighbors that fuck each other," you add.

"Touché."

While you drive to Sara's office, Lisa mentions what kind of dishes she has planned and you offer to go to the grocery store with her after work tomorrow.

Sara is waiting for you at the curb and you notice her smile disappears when she sees Lisa in the front passenger seat.

"Hey, guys," she greets the two of you when she hastily gets into the car before the car behind you honks their horn. "How's it going?"

"Great! I got a big commission today!" Lisa cheers.

"You're going to buy us a beer?" your roommate asks.

"Sure!" your neighbor replies.

"By the way, did you order the pizzas yet?" you ask Sara.

"Yeah, but we need to stop by Pizza Factory to pick them up," she answers. "It saves the delivery charge and tip."

"No problem, we'll swing by there on the way home." You turn to Lisa and ask, "Are you sure you don't want to join us for pizza?"

She glances back at Sara for a moment and shakes her head. "No, it's okay I'm making pasta tonight."

You can still feel the tension between the girls and wonder how Sara is going to react when you go over to Lisa's place for dinner tomorrow.
