Chapter 7 by Warden-Yarn15 Warden-Yarn15

What did she see?

A Forest - Reality Warp

A forest made out of stygian bark erect and sharpened like spikes, bearing no such leaves on a stalk much less a branch and yet had the ability to dam sunlight within. Lauren steps out and was alarmed at the crunch of dead leaves (how or where they came from is another mystery) but soon continued to walk forward trying to see where the path leads to.

"Hello?" Her voice echoes throughout the forest. The Fitting Room seemed to have disappeared while a basket hung from her elbow from out of nowhere, inside was food and Lauren examined an apple, "I could probably eat these if I get hungry."

Returning the apple back in her basket, she continued down on the cobble and leave layered path looking like a slutty teen on Halloween in her costume. As she looked around trying to see whether there was something in the forest that was possibly stalking her, a large boulder almost bumped into her head, and on top of it was a sleeping man with a plaided shirt and matching beanie supporting by suspenders. He snores as loud as he had muscles, and he could've possibly awoken a large creature with his snoring.

Though rude, Lauren climbed the boulder to wake the sleeping man off and accidentally pushing him off the rocks. Next to where he used to lie down was an ax, polished enough that it shined in the dark woods and took it unless the man had any ideas as he stumbled to stand up.

"Hey, you!" He shouted, "What's the big deal of you pushing me off?"

Lauren decidedly to stay above him in case he tried to go for his ax but answered his question without noticing that he was looking up her skirt.

"I just need directions through this place," she figured that there was going to be a condition on returning if this was all the costume's fault, and with the sudden teleportation of her in a forest as Red Riding Hood, Lauren figured that she needs to traverse to the ending of the story to come back home, "if you could point to me where a house with an old grandma is, I'd really appreciate that."

There was silence from the Woodsman, one that made it look like he was thinking until Lauren realized that he was looking up her skirt and covered it. And in a matter of a few seconds, he finally responded.

"Tell you what, nothing in this world is free. I'll tell you where a grandma lives in, but you have to give me something in return."

"Fuck." Whispered Lauren to herself as she looked down again, "What do you want?"

"Food. I haven't had anything good in my stomach for a while now. How about we switch?"

Does she barter?
