Holding the magic seashell, Janus, the intruder, concentrated, and felt her body shift and change. Her brown hair became blonde, her skin paled, her breasts expanded, until she looked exactly like the young lady she had just assimilated. "Hmm. So her name was...Link? Tawdry? Oh no..." As Janus started examining the new memories she had gained, she saw the truth: that had been a royal guard, turned into a woman as bait. They didn't know how she did what she did, but she was public enemy number one at the moment, and this had been their plan to stop her.

The part of her that was once Link grew uneasy. What she had been doing, assimilating the minds and bodies of young woman, then taking their things, had been wrong. But Janus herself was uneasy for a different reason. If Princess Zelda found out that Link just disappeared, she would be suspicious, and devote even more manpower on her case. She did not need that. What was she going to do...?
