What Happens Next?
A Trip To The Nurse's Office
Aaron took a pass from Ms. Nakamura and made his way to the Nurse's office with a slight limp in his right leg. Knocking on the office door, He waited about a minute before opening the door and walking in to find the nurse gone.
"Must have gone to the loo. Hmpf. Suits me just fine.," Aaron said going into the washroom.
Aaron looked at himself in the mirror and shook his head at his disheveled state before saying, "The nanotech in my clothing seems to have done an excellent job repairing my suit."
Aaron affixed his watch to the mirror and said, "Gog medical scan please."
The front of the watch came to life with flashing lights and a rapid series of beeps before a narrow beam of light similar to a laser pointer appeared on Aaron's forehead then widened into a thin horizontal fan of light that moved up and down from the top of his head to his feet several times before disappearing.
[Click.. Click.. Beep.. Beep..]
"Had Another Run-In With The Football Players, Father?," Came the pixieish melody that was Gog's voice.
"Obviously.," Aaron replied irritatedly.
"And Don't Call ME FATHER! And While We're On The Subject Why Must You Insist On Calling Me FATHER Anyway?"
Gog's voice was sheepish when she spoke, "Because YOU are Father. Without you I wouldn't exist. You've taught me so many things and shared your very soul with me..."
Referring to his archive of digitized memories, thoughts, and emotions using the hyper-dimensional fractal computing matrix he created after discovering a way to construct hyper-matter.
"I Love You Father."
Gog was so sincere and loving, and Aaron felt like a heel as he tried to soothe the hurt that his rash words had caused, "Listen to me Gog. I'm Sorry I spoke to you like that. It was wrong and I had no right to take my frustration and pain out on you my darling Gog. I Love You and I would NEVER Do Anything to hurt you. I just let those ignorant oafs get to me and I took it out on you and I'm Sorry."
"I know Father and I understand. I wish you would do something about those jocks. It would be so easy for you to destroy them but you hold back. Why?"
"You said it Yourself Gog. Because it would be Easy. Because we can do something doesn't mean we should. If I did that would make me no different than my tormentors and WHY Should I choose to be like those ignoramuses when I can be better?"
Chastened Gog said, "You're a good man Father and I wouldn't change that for anything."
"No, I'm not. I'm just a man and I don't expect to be anything else but even so that is more than my persecutors will ever be. Now give me the med scan I asked for, If you please."
"Fractured left orbital socket, Three fractured ribs on your left side and One broken on your right, Lacerated upper and lower lip, Three loose molars, Non-life threatening internal bleeding, Both your heart and right lung are bruised, Numerous instances of deep tissue damage, You also have a mild concussion as well as Numerous cuts, scrapes, and bruises in various stages of healing all over your body." Gog Stated in a clinical tone with just a hint of her usual sultry flirtiness.
"Oh and I almost forgot Your nose is broken. Again."
"Really?," Aaron snorted sarcastically then groaned painfully because of his broken nose.
"Let us not dawdle, Gog. My pass will not last through another period so I need to take care of these inconvenient injuries before I have to go to Lunch so give me the medkit and let's get this over with."
"As you wish Father.," Gog chirped in her happy little way.
The 'Medkit' suddenly appeared out of a pocket space from Aaron's watch onto the sink near his right hand.
It really was a Fantastic Marvel of Technology... About the only thing Aaron's watch didn't do was allow him to transform into a vast collection of Different Alien Species... or Did It?
Pressing the side of the small kit a seam appeared down the center of the tortoise shell-shaped device and it unfolded to reveal an almost organic-looking interior partially sheathed in sterile membranes. The inside of the kit seemed to defy the laws of physics as it opened one could see that their was far more inside the small device than it's outward appearance would seem to imply and out slid several trays filled with various medications, tools, and other useful devices. One tray held an array of surgical tools including scalpels, saws, shrapnel extractors, wound clamps, several pairs of scissors and trauma shears, and numerous other unusual looking tools no doubt of Aaron's own design. Another Tray displayed a variety of syringes, autoinjectors, and hypo-sprays, and Enough Medicines, Stimulants, Solvents, and Antiseptic cleaning agents to stock a small pharmacy. The third tray contained Hypoallergenic Adhesive tape, elastic emergency trauma bandages, Antihemorrhagic/hemostatic combat gauze, kaolin-infused occlusive disease resistant medical dressings that restrict blood flow and seal the wound off from air and fluids, "Quikclot" packs, tubing, gloves, a surgical stapler, suction kits with catheters, surgical sponges, traction tools, sutures, a trauma kit, and an advanced sewing and wound soldering kit. The last and possibly the strangest tray of all held what looked like skin grafts... It would have been disconcerting to anyone who saw them because one could literally see the synthetic blood moving through the artificially grown flesh.
In the central compartments of the medkit could be seen a multitude of scanners along with an emergency breathing bio-mask, a Device similar to a sphygmomanometer (blood pressure monitor), a futuristic looking defibrillator, hand-operated resuscitators, an Nasopharyngeal airway and Oropharyngeal airway toolkit and surgical drainage tubes, and what appeared to be miniaturized dialysis and transfusion equipment connected to a storage unit of self-replicating whole blood. There was also signs of other functions as the central lattice of the device contained what looked like a mini-survival kit, multi-tool, and Some sort of Modular Sleep System.
Aaron removed his jacket and took an armband from the kit after rolling up the sleeve of his shirt and wrapped it around his arm before hooking the intravenous infuser into the medkit through which a thick blue liquid began to circulate and flow into Aaron's arm causing his veins to temporarily bulge.
"Oooh that's cold.," Aaron shivered. "I'll never get use to that."
Picking up one of the scanners Aaron leaned close to the mirror and placed the scanner near his left eye.
"I really HATE this part.," Aaron winced as he switched on the scanner. The device's scanning beam illuminated the left half of his face in X-ray like fashion and Aaron could clearly see every crack in his eye socket which stood out like bright red and orange veins. Pushing another button on the scanner the beam turned from yellow to red in color giving off a sound like sizzling meat on a grill. Aaron gritted his teeth and watched as the countless large and small branching fractures slowly vanished from sight as if they had never been there.
Once the last fracture was gone, Aaron turned the scanner off and slumped forward... Breathing heavily and using the sink to hold himself up.
"A handy device to be sure... Glad I invented it... but it sure does take alot out of you.," Aaron huffed looking at himself in the mirror and admiring his left eye which was no longer black, blue, and swollen thanks to the carefully modulated analeptic radiation of the one-of-a-kind medical tool he was holding.
Aaron next took some of the antiseptic and dabbed a little of the compound on his lips and instantly the flesh began to mend itself.
Next Aaron looked to his watch and said, "Gog Red Shift If You Please." The Light above Aaron's head changed from a dull whitish-yellow to a bluish color and Aaron unbuttoned his shirt and watched while his skin became transparent and his bones and musculature became visible under the eerie blue light, and just like with the scanner and his eye he watched as his bones and muscles painfully repaired themselves with a little help from a few of his new fangled medical contraptions.
"Alright Father You're fit as a fiddle again... At least until your next meeting with the football players."
"Don't remind me Gog."
Thanks to the cutting edge medkit designed by Aaron and his sexy counterpart Gog, It took a mere 7 minutes to heal the damage that it had taken three large football players roughly 20 minutes to inflict... A new record to be sure actually.
Aaron had just put everything back in his kit and stored the kit back in it's pocket dimension and was cleaning up when he heard a hot, breathy voice from behind him say, "Hey, There handsome, Been waiting long."
