The Headmaster

The main hall was crowded well over a hundred men and women were in the room. I looked around for Neo but couldn't seem to find her, I was about to text her when I heard Ozpin speak.

"All of you here today are here to become Beacon students, some will be accepted" The crowd cheered. "most will be denied." The crowd immediatedly fell silent. "However, do not think we are harsh when we deny you. We are simply giving you a longer life then you would've had here. For even those who have been accepted and graduated, from those we studied, out of ever 100,000 hunters..." He let the sentence hanged, everyone was hooked. A screen above him showed the number 110, what could that mean?, before he continued.

"More than 80% have died." He said, the room grew cold. Dread filled the air, of course they knew of the high **** rate of huntsmen but they never knew the number. I almost chuckled at the change in mood.

'Why would you be here if you didn't know that you will most likely die?' I asked myself in my head. 'I knew the rate of which Ozpin is talking about, that is why I am here to die a hero's **** rather then on the streets I was born in! That is why I admire huntsmen so much, they fight even when faced with certain ****.'

Ozpin felt the tension in the air. He frowned before saying, "If you would like to leave now is your chance, the air buses have yet to leave and you can return to Vale. Just raise your hand."

To my suprise even after those in the dark learned of their chances around 10% left for the Air Buses. The 110 dropped to 99, it must mean how many people are still here, showing the change.

"Now the rest of you, you have a day to prepare for whatever comes next. Use it wisely, you may sleep in the ballroom while you stay." Ozpin said as he walked down the stairs leaving the silent crowd of 99 men and women to do as they please...
