Peach finds herself embracing the arrogance filling her mind.

Peach couldn't believe her eyes. She'd bent those metal bars like they were made of cardboard, and it was all thanks to this transformation. She was a Royal Koopa now, just like Bowser, and she knew that should terrify her. She'd never met a member of that class of koopa who hadn't been an arrogant blowhard, too obsessed with themselves to think about any of the people they hurt. But to her surprise, she didn't feel scared at all. Instead, Peach felt...awesome! The strength, the power, flowing through her new body, flowing through her mind, it was intoxicating. She could kick Bowser's ass right now, if she wanted to. She could kick Mario's ass! She could kick anyone's ass! Peach suddenly started laughing uproariously, small bouts of flame coming from her maw as she did so.

If this was how Royal Koopas felt all the time, maybe she'd been wrong in the first place. They weren't arrogant, they weren't cocky, it was just her perspective. To a weak, sniveling, worthless human, of course that's how Royal Koopas seemed. But being one now, she knew the truth: they were just amazing. She was stronger than anyone she'd ever met, and Peach knew that like it was a fact, like how things fell with you dropped them. Looking back, she envied Bowser now. While Peach had been a princess, a goody-little-two-shoes waiting for some guy to rescue her, he'd been out there, kicking ass and taking names, doing whatever he wanted and damn anyone who had a problem with that! More than anything else, Peach was excited to live a life like that now, one where she just took what she wanted, a life like Bowser's.
