Talking with Elliot (Sila's POV)

I find Elliot sitting in the cafeteria eating pasta all alone. As he looks up to me with his blue eyes, his mop of blonde curly hair flops around. Upon seeing me he smiles and I smile back.

"Hey Sila." He says.

"Elliot."

"Wanna seat?" Elliot pats the seat next to him.

"Sure."

Once I'm seated, Elliot asks "So did you talk to your roommate about game night?"

"She said yes."

"Oh. Cool."

"She even wants to play, actually."

"Well okay. I mean why not, right?"

"I guess."

Elliot continues to eat so I begin my salad wrap. After my first bite, Elliot asks "So how's your day been?"

"Yeah alright. I mean my roommate keeps waking me up with screamo music, but apart from that it's good." Especially the sex.

"Well does it work?"

"Does what work?"

"Waking up to screamo."

I shrug." It does.

"I mean it's better than being late, right?"

"Yeah true..."

"So what's your roommate like?"

"Uhh, she's like the opposite of me."

"Like in what way?"

"She's like outgoing, and... confident."

"And ugly?"

I let out a peal of nervous laughter in response to his compliment. It's not like I don't like Elliot. He's kinda cute in a dorky sort of way, with a slender frame, thick-rimmed glasses, and a kind smile. He also can be pretty witty at times. It's just I'm... whatever I am with Roxy and that's complicated I guess. I'm sure cheeks are as red as they possibly can be right now too, just to tell him how uncomfortable I feel right now.

"No she's pretty." I say. "Maybe a bit different though. Tattoos and mohawks and punk rock."

"Bit of a party girl?"

"Yeah... She'll probably try and get us drunk before the night is over."

"Well so long we're having fun it's all good right?"

"Right."

"Well anyway, it's been good talking to you but I gotta head to the library. See you soon Sila."

"See you Elliot."

With that, he walks off and leaves me to eat and wonder about him. I mean, maybe there is something between us. Then again maybe he's just trying to be kind. Ugh, why do people have to be so complicated?
