He heads to the mall after his shift is over and quickly finds Paula.

As much as Jed wanted to go help Paula with...whatever was going on with her, he didn't have the sick time available to leave work early, especially because it was hitting peak traffic for the day. He shot her a quick text to stay where she was until he got off of work, and when he finally managed to finish his shift he drove over to the mall, and once there texted her, "I'm here, where are you?"

He had to wait a few minutes for her to see his text and respond. "im in Hot2Trot its on floor2 c u soon luv u" Once again befuddled as to why she was texting him like that, Jed hurried up an escalator to get to the store she mentioned, and looking around at first he couldn't see Paula anywhere. His confusion only got worse when a tall, tan, blonde-haired bimbo with expensive clothes and a killer figure approached him.
