Not really..

As Zack and Emily entered their third period Biology class with Mr. Mockall they saw on the chalk board a seating list. Making her way to the seating list she saw that Zack and her were on opposite ends of the classroom and worse yet he was next to Heather Reeves. A pit of jealousy rose in her throat, Heather was now paired with Zack in Drama and Biology and worse yet...she was next to Devin Aubrey. Devin was another one of Greg's friend group and was by far the smartest which made his willingness to hangout with Greg even worse. He had a head of dirty blond hair with a shaggy wave to it, his eyes were a deep green. Devin had an average body type, honestly looking at him she couldn't tell if he had any muscle at all and he was about half a foot shorter than she was. By far the wrost part about Devin and what all the girls knew about him was he was touchy, constantly putting his hands on people for seemingly no reason. But over the summer while at the mall with Chloe the two noticed him brushing up against girls and by the time he sat down the front of his jeans had a stain on them. Of course her and Chloe had laughed about the perverse freak then, but now that she might have to sit next to him for the whole semster Emily couldn't help but be concerned about his behaviour. Maybe it was a coincidence and she shouldn't jump to conclusions about him, just like Joey she didn't really know him and Joey did seem to be nicer than she expected. She felt her cheeks flush as she had completely forgotten about Joey's unexpected kiss earlier, with everything that had happened with Greg she had completely forgotten about what had helped get her so hot and bothered in the first place.

"Zacky omg it looks like you and me are desk mates for Bio, we'll be getting nice and close this semester. Oh hi Emily didn't see you there!" Emily was snapped out of her mind as she watched Heather brush against Zack's chest to get to her seat.

"Mr. Mockall are these seats for the semester?" Emily turned to her nearly fifty year old teacher, looking up from his desk Emily could tell she was about to get an answer she wouldn't like.

"Why yes Ms. McKellan these seats are for the semester! Unless of course you'd like to begin to question my teaching methods on the first day of classes? Hmmm? No? Glad to hear it, now take your seat so I can begin attendance." Mr. Mockall could be described as a bit of a bulldog as much in looks as in personality. His short dark hair was the only feature that looked normal, his face was round and full with fat. He wore glasses that looked a size too big for him and despite his body looking relatively fit, he had a large beer belly that protruded nearly 8 inches in front of him. For some reason he only wore polo shirts and shorts whilst having strangely smooth legs.

Emily made her way to her desk to her dismay she was against a wall at the back of the row and Devin had elected to take the aisle seat. "Devin could you move so I can get in?" The boy smiled and stood up stepping back a bit from his desk so Emily could sneak in. That was nice of him Emily thought as she squeezed past him facing away. Thats when she knew why he got up, he slowly inched forward pressing his waist against hers. She let out a squeak and quickly took her seat, Devin sat back down as Mr. Mockall walked along the front of the rows to hand out textbooks.

"Unfortunately due to a surplus of Biology students this year we're short on available textbooks that means you'll be sharing textbooks with your deskmates. Which Miss McKellan is why you keep your deskmate for the semester. I don't want to have to worry about reassigning seats and textbooks every couple of weeks." Emily felt embarrassed for being called out like that in front of the class, thankfully being at the back of the class she could hide away a bit. Devin grabbed their textbook and set it between the two, "I'm going to do attendance and the lot of you are going to read the opening chapter of the textbook. It will introduce you to what we will be covering this semester as well as inform you of proper safety procedure for when we are in the lab. I will go over safety procedures tomorrow so if anything else make sure you read that chapter well because there may or may not be a quiz." The class groaned at this announcement but quickly went to work as Mr. Mockall shot them all a warning look.

Emily leant forward and opened the text when she felt Devin lean in closer to her than he needed to. Emily shifted uncomfortably but began to read the opening paragraphs to herself. "Sorry Emily do you mind if I shift a bit I can't quite see the page closest to you. " She nodded in silence trying to focus on the text. He pressed his chest right against her shoulder and she could feel his breath hot on the back of her neck. Emily felt her body tingle at the sensation but continued to focus on the text. As class went by Devin slowly pressed himself further and further into Emily occasionally shifting himself to get a sniff of her hair, at least thats what she thought he was doing. Emily couldn't prove it and didn't want to cause issues early on with the guy she'd be sharing a textbook with for the semester. She had to ace Biology if she wanted to take human anatomy next semester so if that meant she had to deal with Devin then that meant she had to deal with Devin.

The bell for class to end rang and Devin was slowly packing up, Emily had to get going her gym class was on the other side of the school and every second wasted here meant the more likely she was to be late. But Devin clearly had no intention to speed along to his next class, not willing to be late for class Emily stepped over Devin's lap. Facing away from him and bent at a slightly weird angle she thought she heard him lean forward and inhale deeply as stepped over him. She didn't have time to find out she finished stepping over him and rushed out of Bio to her gym class. She needed to have a conversation with her new teacher Mr. Hoilley about what had happened to her favourite teacher Mrs. Delby.
