"You Should Do Stand Up !"

Having got everyone's approval for her designs, Lesley now had to have samples made up by her seamstresses. So Debbi and Sally were now left to their own devices for the remainder of Sally's visit, until she returned in a few weeks for the actual photo sessions.

Debbi took Sally along with her to her latest appearance on This Morning. Sally was impressed by her new friend's growing assurance on such occasions, enjoying wise cracking with the panel and not at all phased when they sprang a clip from the infamous bondage movie on her, one of the tamer early scenes when her still fully clothed character was kidnapped. "Great method acting don't you think ?" Debbi joked. She made sure that she mentioned her upcoming appearances in the soap as a semi-permanent cast member and was even able to get in a plug about the new lingerie / swimwear line.

The afternoon was taken up with attendance at Roddy's Premier League game. Debbi tried to remain incognito underneath a woollen hat in the team colours but as she and Sally took their seats, they were spotted by the TV cameras and displayed to the crowd on the the big screen. The fans cheered and began singing 'Bimbo WAG, Bimbo WAG, Bimbo WAG; Bimbo WA-AG, Bimbo WAG' to the tune of a Sousa march, immediately following that with 'Get your tits out for the lads'. Debbi waved dutifully, while playfully shaking her head at the second request !

"You seem popular ?" said Sally. "Yeah, well they think I make Roddy play better" Debbi explained. And so it proved. Roddy's team won 3-1, with him scoring one goal and providing two assists. "What's an assist ?" asked Debbi when this was highlighted. "It's when somebody helps somebody else to score" Sally replied. "What, sort of like a pimp does ?" Debbi suggested. Sally laughed. "You're so funny. You should do stand up" she asserted. "I'm much better lying down !" Debbi giggled. "See what I mean ?" Sally persisted. "There's no way I could write a routine" Debbi shrugged. "But you could collaborate with writers ? Use your bimbo persona ?" Sally pursued her train of thought. "We'd need an angle though. The stripping stand up !" Sally was getting enthused by her idea. "Or the naked comedienne ?" Debbi laughed. "Come on" she said, changing the subject. "Let's go the the player's bar. They'll be out of the showers soon."
