Angelica found Krohan. "I'm ready to go to my room now, sir."

"Right this way then, milady." The middle-aged innkeeper led her up the stairs. "Remember to throw the latch on the door. You don't want any uninvited guests tonight."

"Show me the latch works, Krohan. We never had latches at home."

The innkeeper opened the door, waving Angelica inside. She walked in, and he closed the door. "You flip this lever around until it settles into the slot on the wall. Then you can open the door from inside, but not outside." He demonstrated.

The princess watched closely and gasped when Krohan grabbed her shoulders and kissed her. His lips brushed hers and his tongue darted out to poke into her mouth.
