A normal... ish... ? breakfast

Steve poured himself a coffee, grabbed a banana, and sat down. He thought he might go easy on breakfast for now --- the scenario was too exciting not to focus on at the moment.

Elena and Franzi were eating their breakfasts, respectively at the table and on the cushion on the floor.

Annie smiled at Steve again. "Did you sleep well, Steve?"

"Yeah," he said. "Pretty well. Yourself?"

Annie smiled. "Pretty well! I think I was a bit groggy this morning, because I cam to the kitchen before I realised that I'd forgotten to check that the girls were up and getting ready. Fortunately for me they were wide awake and urgently discussing their clothing when I came looking for them. It's a good thing I was there to make it clear what I planned to wear, otherwise I can't imagine what they would have come down dressed like!"

Steve chuckled, Elena blushed as she kept eating, and Franzi quietly fumed.

"Do you like how they've dressed this morning? They certainly are showing off more of themselves than they usually do." Annie said this completely innocently.

"I do like it," he said.

"Good!" said Annie. "It's a shame that it makes them uncomfortable, but I'm sure they could have covered up a *little* more if they really wanted to."

Elena mumbled. "It's just a bit easier for us if we make sure we're wearing noticeably less than you, Annie. We don't want to presume."

Annie raised her eyebrows at Elena. "I'm very glad that you and Franzi are so mindful of your roles, Elena. You're such good housemates! But in that same spirit, it's unfair to Steve to ask him not to look at you in your state of undress if you're out and about in the house. It's just something that you have to accept as part of us living together."

Franzi huffed noisily. Annie looked over to her. "Franzi..." she said sternly. "Behave yourself," she added, more gently.

Steve just sipped at his coffee, taking in the new dynamic.
