Supergirl Submits...

It's been weeks since Batgirl vanished without a trace. Although only a select few knew of her disappearance, fear and unease were beginning to creep into the minds and thoughts of her friends. In an effort to keep her secret identity secure, Dick Grayson's been posing as Batgirl to keep her and Barbara Gordon distinct. Gotham City Police Department's been scrambling around the clock since the moment Commissioner Gordon first learned of his daughter’s disappearance. They still had no clues or evidence to her abductor’s identity. Unfortunately, they never will. No one kidnapped Barbara Gordon. Something happened to Batgirl.

Kara Zor-El has spent every waking moment searching for her best friend. Ever since learning Batgirl was missing, she has been searching. Supergirl has scanned the Gotham River, the entire bay, and even the vast labyrinth of sewer systems beneath the city. There was no sign of her anywhere, and no clue as to her fate, living or dead. Kara now endlessly patrols across Gotham, constantly searching for any indication of Batgirl.

Taking a moment to land on one of the many high-rise rooftops of Gotham, Kara peers down over the city. "Where are you, Babs?" She whispers to herself. The more she looked without success, the more worried she got. Who is behind this? Is she alright? Is she even still alive? The questions continue to haunt and plague her mind as she desperately tries to think of anyone who would have a clue to Batgirl's disappearance.

Meanwhile, I've remained hidden, silent, making no action that might draw attention to myself. I was never a fool, always waiting and weighing all options before acting. Especially now that the mystical Rod of Lus’tarnok had given me its power. I could afford to bide my time.

Batgirl happily told me everything I needed to know in order to avoid detection. Even from the most powerful members of the Justice League. With her assistance, I was able to study the rod and develop my powers in total seclusion and privacy. I would only be found when I chose to be found.
