You reach the edge of the camp

You push through the throng of men, eager to see what is causing the commotion, and there's a good chance that Javeth will also be there if its something important.

You get to the edge of the camp and see that the soldiers here seem to be on edge, and have their weapons at the ready. You realise that the camp might potentially be in danger, your heart starts racing; have the Llewyn forces caught up?

"Riders! To the west!"

Your heart stops in your chest.

Sure enough, as silence falls on the troops around you, the faint thundering of distant hooves can be heard, and if you squint, a mass of black shapes can be seen approaching.

You hear the distinct blare of a Myhrinese horn calling out some sort of signal. A few excruciatingly long moments later, a faint reply comes from the west, again a Myhrinese horn.

"Allies coming from the west!"

Your heart starts again, and you feel faint from relief. The men around you all relax and began to mill around slowly, although now the troops seem to wonder what reinforcements are arriving.

As the approaching reinforcements get closer, you see Javeth across the camp and begin to make your way over to him through the crowd of soldiers. As you struggle to push your way through the men, who are much larger than you, another deathly silence seems to fall on the soldiers, but you can't see what's happened now. You try to look past the man in front of you but before you can see what has spooked everyone, another cry comes out.

"Llewyn riders! We're under attack!"

You don't even have a chance to react as the troops begin to flee back into the camp, and are smashed into by the mail-clad slab of meat directly in front of you, knocking the air from your lungs and dropping you to the ground.
