Meet Courtney by the Willow Trees?
No, in the Library!
It was Monday afternoon at school when you got the message from Courtney.
[El, plz cn we talk? Library mezzanine aft sch x]
You couldn't actually respond if you didn't want your phone confiscated but manages to reply on the hometime bell in the affirmative. You jogged up the library stairs to the mezzanine without seeking permission but the librarian didn't question you. There was only Courtney up there and she'd clearly been crying.
"Curtis finished with me."
You just cuddled her. What else could you do? She sobbed onto your shoulder and you let her. Great heaving sobs too. You would never admit it but you found yourself tearing up a little bit! It was horrible to see a friend hurting so much.
"Did he say why? Wait... it wasn't because we spent the day together at the race?" Surely that had nothing to do with it?
She shook her head. "No but it did get me thinking about being so far away. It's like our relationship only exists in school. It doesn't feel real."
"He said he couldn't come over more because his family are... well, they're difficult, he can't ask them to drive him over and pick him up. He can't afford driving lessons, much less a car." She looked so sad, you were still holding hands.
"I think he thought I was guilt tripping him or something so he ended it."
You didn't feel there was much substance to this break up and said as much;
"He's probably just having a really shit time at home or something and has taken it out on you. He'll come round." You assured her.
"Why did you need to tell me though? Surely the girls would be more supportive and you've known them forever?"
Courtney blushed then and thinking back it meant more than you dared to consider at the time. "They've been shoulders to cry on all afternoon. I wanted to see you." She spoke softly and didn't break eye contact- her crystalline blue eyes were pink from crying and her pretty face was puffy.
"I'm glad you did. I really enjoyed yesterday... except the rain!"
She laughed, she looked like hell and had snot in her nose but she smiled and she'd thought of you in a time of real pain.
By the first week of November you were going out.
Curtis hadn't come around and they hadn't got back together. He was seeing a girl from another school and Courtney and you had spoken in person, on the phone or via messenger every day. You even got the bus over and spent a drier (but still cold) day at the Amusement Arcades with her. As you shared a bag of chips (fries for my American friends) on a bench overlooking the beach together, she leaned in and kissed you.
You dumped the chips next to you and turned into the kiss properly. You'd kissed a girl or two here and there before and thoroughly explored Ange's horny little mouth one time with your tongue but this felt like a first kiss (if that makes any sense?) Like kissing a girl you wanted to be with. You stayed out another hour, sitting on the beach in huge winter coats just massaging one another's lips and giggling.
It'd be so hot to tell you how you fucked her up against the windbreak boards but Courtney wasn't like that and I have to maintain character integrity despite your desperation for titillation!
She saw you off on the bus home and you said goodbye to your girlfriend! God it was amazing to think that as you sank your frozen arse onto the hard leather seat of the number 61. Over the coming months there would be amazing highs but that feeling of having someone in the world that has chosen to be yours for the first time was the best feeling you've ever had without ejaculating!
You messaged her all night of course and swiftly arranged her to come over to yours next Saturday on the flimsy pretext of a study date (with a girl from the year above? Hmmm?) Lily's guitar lesson that week was weirdly distant and awkward because Saturday couldn't come 'round quickly enough...

How Elliott ended up juggling two girls
You're Elliott King. A popular college student although that popularity is still fairly recent. You were pretty much a nobody until a school trip last year changed things and set you on a path that sees you suddenly making progress with two girls who you think are perfect for you. The problem? You have to choose one or risk having neither.
