Friday Night

With his weekend occupied, Spencer arranged to take Evelyn out for Friday night. He knocked on her front door, to be greeted by Evelyn wearing her sky-blue dress and a beaming smile.

"Hey Spence."

"Hey." The two share a kiss. "You're looking great."

"Like always?"

Spencer attempted to stammer his way to a reply before Evelyn giggled.

"I'm messing with you. I mean it took me long enough to get dolled up, I oughta get a compliment out of it."

Spencer chuckled. "So you ready?"

"Sure am."

The two got into Spencer's car, who then drives her to Calabresi. Inside, the waiter led them to the table Spencer had ordered. Once seated, Evelyn ordered a glass of whiskey. Spencer then asked her "So how was your day?"

"Quiet, which is good in a way." She replied.

"Fair enough."

"What about you?"

"Just cleaning."

"That would've taken a while?"

"Sure did."

"Couldn't you've just hire a cleaner?"

"Eh, I have the time. Plus I don't like people going through my stuff."

"Fair enough."

That's when their waiter interrupted them to give Evelyn her drink and to take their order. As he walked off, Evelyn asked "So is it alright if I come for dinner on Sunday?"

"Absolutely. Even better Abigail will be cooking."

"Perfect. I could do with some time to coordinate things for this trip."

"Yeah. Can't be easy with five brothers and sisters."

"Four." Evelyn corrected.

"Well that makes things a bit easier."

"Just a tad."

The two continue to exchange small talk until their meals arrive. After eating, the two head to Spencer's SUV. As soon as he was seated, Evelyn put her hand on Spencer's thigh.

"So, back to my place Tiger?"

A wolfish smile lit up Spencer's face. "That's the plan."
