The café

"I don't know much about the school, what do you think?" He asks back

"Hmm, let's go to the café then. I've been working for a while and I haven't had breakfast yet. Plus aren't you hungry after moving all the stuff to your room?" Sarah offered

"That sounds good to me!"

They came into a small and cozy café. They both placed their order, picked it up, and sat down at a table.

Much like almost everywhere else on campus, the café is not very busy.

"You know, this place is probably the best place to get food, and drinks of course, on campus. The food in the dining hall is pretty shitty, to be honest." Sarah said. "So, tell me, why are you here this early? Almost no one is here today except for work-study students, like me, who have a job to do."

"Well, my parents think that it would be better for me to come early to prepare" Luke replied

"How did you end up here, anyway, coach was ecstatic to find out that he even had the chance recruit you. Let alone you coming here?"

"Well, Coach Mike was my coach from 6th grade to junior year in high school, before he got the job here, so he's like a father figure to me. And when every D-I, even most D-II schools, turn me down, he decided to give me a second chance, and I gratefully accepted it."

"Why did they turn you down though? I have watched the tape, you are incredible." Sarah exclaims, she blushed a little when she says that.

"It was just an incident that happened after the season in my senior year. I was already committed to Duke by then, but all of them pulled all of the offers... It was nothing, really, I'm not comfortable talking about it yet. I'm sorry"

"Oh, don't worry. Sorry for asking to deep. Let's finish up and continue our tour then." They finish up their meals and get ready to leave the café.
