Chapter 2 by Domestic Domestic

Pick a route.

You decide to join a science study. (Male reader)

You're strapped for cash, only having three dollars to your name. So, you were ecstatic when you saw an ad in the paper for a some weird science study.

You came into a meeting with the person running it, a Dr. Alicia Marion.

"Hello... Mr. Doe?" Dr. Marion asks, glancing at her papers.

"Just call me John." You tell her, and she chuckles.

"So, I have some paperwork I'd like you to fill out, and then you'll be given your money." She tells you, handing you a bit of paperwork.

You groan. Anything for the money.

You sigh, slamming the stack of paperwork on Dr. Marion's desk. That took you two hours. It involved very personal questions, blood types, interests and hobbies, and was overall long and boring.

Dr. Marion seems happy though. "Perfect!" She glances through it, not reading any of the answers, just checking to see if they're answered in the first place.

"Great! This email is right?" She asks, double checking. You nod. "Perfect. So, talk to receptionist, you'll get your payment, and we'll email you when further information is required."

You nod and smile, leaving to go to receptionist. You can't help but be amazed when you get told you're being paid two thousand dollars for this.

You go home, not planning to think about this again

You're sitting down, drinking coffee one day, when you get an email from that science study. You're surprised to hear from that again. It's been almost a month. You click on the email. Dear Mr. Doe

We have evaluated your report, and found it conclusive that you require no further meetings with the company. Please watch the attached video, personalized for you, and understand that we will no longer be contacting you.

With all due respect,

Dr. Marion of the YKG Foundation.

You look at the small video. It says it's only five and a half seconds. You can do that.

You click on the video, and you're met with a huge amount of spirals and text too fast to read, accompanying some weird distorted sounds. You thought you could see images, but it went by too fast...

Whatever. You close and delete the email, done with the company for good.

What do you do next?
