weather!

A gigantic thunderclap woke Katniss with a start. She sat up and looked around. Thankfully, she was still alone, but that was about the only bit of good news.

The rain was torrential. Everything in the clearing was soaked, herself included. Her dark hair was plastered to her back and shoulders (she had untied her braid the previous day, only to find out it had been cut just short enough so that she couldn't use it to hide her breasts) and her breasts were heaving and erect.

She had to find shelter and fast! Scooping up her pack and bow, Katniss stumbled off into the jungle, her bare feet slipping and sliding over the muddy ground.

Branches whipped at her face as she face, for once not covering herself for the sake of speed.

A fallen tree appeared out of nowhere. Katniss jumped, but she was going too fast to avoid it, her shins smashing into it. Katniss went sprawling as as she screamed in pain.

Katniss just wanted to lie there forever, her tears mixing with the muddy turf, and beaten and bruised body stinging. But the naked girl knew she had to move, so dragging herself to the nearest tree, she pulled herself upright and continued at a much slower pace, praying that she would find shelter soon.

Katniss almost broke down with joy when she saw the cave in front of her. She stumbled inside and collapsed to the ground lying on her back, her chest heaving. Her body was bruised, bloodied and covered in mud. She closed her eyes as she felt the blessedly cool stone against her bruised and bloodied body.

The naked, exhausted girl slowly drifted off to sleep...

Katniss was woken up by the sound of rain drumming loudly on the roof of her cave. She didn't know how many hours she'd been asleep, but a quick peek outside told her that it hadn't stopped raining.

The adrenaline that had been flowing through her after her run had gone and Katniss now realised just how cold it was in her cave.

Sitting down, Katniss pulled her knees up to her chest and hugged herself, shivering violently. She had almost completely dried out by then, so was able to brush most of the dried mud off her body, but some still remained underneath her nails and in her dark hair. She also noticed that her body hair wasn't regrowing; whatever the Capitol had given her before the Games, it was certainly working.

A few hours later, the weather hadn't improved. If anything, it had got worse. The driving rain had given way to hailstones and the lightning was still lashing down. A strong wind was blowing through the mouth of the cave, running its frozen fingers over Katniss' bare skin and blowing through her hair.

Katniss buried her face in her hands as she felt more tears coming on. It was obvious the Gamesmakers weren't going to switch off the rain anytime soon, but Katniss didn't know how much longer she could wait them out.

She was very hungry and she had either eaten all of her food or it had been destroyed by the weather. She would have to hunt, and soon. It would be hard enough to find anything to hunt in this weather, but how on Earth was she supposed to kill anything when she was naked?

Katniss was also squeezing her legs together, shifting awkwardly. She was **** for the toilet and definitely didn't want to go in her cave. But if she stepped outside, she would be soaked and frozen in seconds!

President Snow watched the monitor and smiled.

Katniss Everdeen was in big trouble. Naked, humiliated, freezing cold and by the look of it, hungry and **** for the toilet.

All of the other tributes had been provided with shelters and ample food to see out the storm; Miss Everdeen had been given nothing.

President Snow was happy to keep the storm on for a few more days yet; Miss Everdeen would have to leave her cave eventually.
