Missy puts a rat amongst the pigeons

"I didn't know you could sing, Rose," said present Clara. "How come you never sang like that for me?"

Present Rose shrugged. "You never asked me."

"Anyway, I still don't get how the TARDIS changed so much in one night," said present Clara.

"Part of the twelve days of Christmas, perhaps?" asked present Rose.

"Not likely," said present Clara.

"Then perhaps we were viewing a scene from the Christmas right after the last Christmas that we saw before that," said present Rose.

"That would mean you were on your own with the lady in red and her friends for about a year," said present Clara. "Surely it did not take Missy and me that long to get there, right?"

"I don't know," said present Rose.

"Anyway, it doesn't matter," said present Clara.

She turned toward the Spirit of Christmas Yet to Come and said, "Now show me what was going on in Skaro."

The scene shifted and once more the interior of Missy's TARDIS came into view. The older man was arguing with Missy and Missy kept replying that if her TARDIS had the ability to leave, she'd do so but it didn't so they were stuck.

The light blonde girl kept suggesting that the group go outside and look for clues but Missy and a still naked future Clara both insisted that they stay inside.

"You don't know what's out there," said future Clara.

"Whatever it is, it couldn't be that scary compared to what I've faced so far," said the light blonde girl.

"I wouldn't bet on that," said future Clara.

"What's the big deal about Skaro anyway?" asked the dark-haired guy.

"It's the home of a vicious alien race known as the Daleks," said future Clara.

"Aliens?" asked the redhead. "You mean now we're dealing with aliens?"

Future Clara rolled her eyes. "You've been dealing with an alien all along, you guys."

The redhead looked at future Clara and said, "You don't seem so bad."

"I'm not talking about me!" exclaimed future Clara. "I'm talking about --"

"That will be enough, Clara," said Missy. "No point in exposing all our secrets to our allies at this point. Not when you're already exposed enough."

At this point, future Clara blushed. And then realized that in the heat of her conversation with the one called Willow, she had inadvertently uncovered her nipples and her vagina -- a fact that both the redhead and the dark-haired guy seemed to notice right away.

She covered herself right away and cursed herself for letting herself get into this position.

Meanwhile, Missy was gazing at the caged rat and asking, "Why is this rodent so nervous?"

"No telling," said the redhead. "Earthquake tremor?"

"Not likely," said Missy. "My TARDIS has ways of detecting such a tremor more accurately than any rat. And anyway, I'm not sure 'earthquake' is the proper term to use for such a tremor since we are definitely not on Earth."

"Well, who knows?" asked the redhead. "After all, we can't very well ask her."

"Can't we?" asked Missy. "I wonder."

She got out a small metal device that looked like a sonic -- no, a laser -- screwdriver and aimed it at the door of the cage. She pushed a button on the device and then instantly the door unlocked and opened.

"Well, I could have done that," said the dark-haired guy. "Even without your whatchamallit."

"I'm sure you could," said Missy. "But could you do this?"

Missy adjusted the device for a few minutes and then asked Tara to take out the rat.

Tara just shrugged and did so, not really understanding the reasons for Missy's actions.

Then Missy aimed the laser screwdriver at the rat and pushed another button on the device.

This time the rat started to glow. Then it blurred its shape. A shape that gradually expanded and changed its dimensions until there was a naked young woman in place of the rat.

"What the hell!" exclaimed the woman who used to be a rat.

"So your 'pet rat' was a human being, after all," said Missy. "I suppose it would have been awkward had I guessed wrong."

"Guessed wrong?" asked the naked woman. "Who the hell are you and what did you do to me?"

"I changed you back into a human being," said Missy. "That's what I did. Moreover, I just proved that I could do more for you despite being a bit vain and what some people consider evil" -- at this point, Missy used air quotes around the word "evil" -- "than all your beloved friends could despite all their best wishes and affection. And I believe the correct response to that -- not that I would expect all that much from a mere human -- is 'Thank you!'"
