How do you respond?

Wink.

As she glances up, no doubt to see whether she's been caught ogling, you give her a wink, and she stares as though hypnotized for a second. that's all it takes for her to mistime her landing, and the two of you collide in midair.

That seems to break her trance, and she does something acrobatic, wrapping her arms and legs around you as the two of you as you fall. The result is a very soft - and pleasant - landing as she takes the brunt of it on her back, cushioning you and holding on as the springy sidewalk tries to shake you loose. She holds on just a bit longer than is strictly necessary, her dilated pupils gazing into yours.

"I sincerely apologize" she says as she unwraps her legs and moves her hands down your side. "I am new to the university and unfamiliar with these conveyances. Are you unhurt?"

You answer in the affirmative as you give her a hand up. She smiles at you, her eyes conveying a gratefulness all out of sync with the situation.

"I am glad" she says, taking your hands. "I would ordinarily love to stay and chat, but I am already late on my first day. By your leave - " she bends down, kissing the back of one hand. "I hope we meet again" she finishes, beginning to bound away again.
