Chapter 201 by robyna

Does he want to fuck her?

Not until she looks like a woman

"When I fuck you," Rick said, "my eyes are going to be open and I'm not going to pretend anything. So get that through your head. Now let me see what's going on with your dad."

Sure enough, Dan had latched onto the idea of Olivia being unfaithful to him and, perhaps unsurprisingly, had decided that Rick was the most likely candidate.

"I tried to make it up to him but he had a lot of resentment for losing his job," Dan explained. "I should have realized he was up to something when he came by my house with the crazy idea of running some sort of gym. But Olivia wanted to get more fit, not that there was anything wrong with her as she was, so she went. Now that you've forced me to consider it, it seems likely that Rick would have targeted her in an attempt to get back at me."

"I see." Tiffany jotted something on a notepad. "We had Mr. Peters in and he seemed to have an alibi. Any other possibilities?"

"Break that alibi, that's my advice," Dan said. "He's the kind of guy who get women to lie for him."

Tiffany made a few more notes. "There is one other thing, Mr. Hughes. Your daughter."

Dan clenched his fists. "She has nothing to do with her mother's death. You leave her out of this."

"I never even suggested that, Mr. Hughes. What I'm doing is following up on a missing person report from last night. Your wife being murdered is one thing but your daughter being kidnapped definitely makes it appear to be a pattern. You mentioned all pharmaceutical executives having enemies. Besides Mr. Peters, can you name any specific enemies?"

Dan leaned closer. "Detective O'Sullivan, I'm a salesman. I wouldn't have a clue how to identify enemies. That's why our company hired a security firm. We just don't have the skillset to deal with things like this."

"Would you mind if we talked to your security team, Mr. Hughes?"

Rick had been about to suggest Tiffany ask exactly that question. Now he didn't have to. He watched Dan carefully as the question penetrated his cool exterior. For less than a second, Rick saw a crack. Dan's blood pressure skyrocketed, his pulse raced, and nerve signals raced across every bit of his skin. Then he clamped down on every reaction and forced a smile. "As you would imagine, we fired the team once they failed to protect Olivia. I can have my secretary give you their contact information, of course."

"Do that, Mr. Hughes. And let me assure you that the McKinney Police Department takes crime, especially violent crime, very seriously. We will track down whomever murdered your wife and we will discover what happened to your missing daughter."

"Look for Rick Peters," Dan said. "And fuck his alibi. Those women are lying."

"Really?" Tiffany turned to Detective Grunson. "Detective Grunson, did I mention that Mr. Peters's alibi was supplied by women?"

Grunson checked his notes. "Nope, don't see anything about that."

"Interesting. Why, Mr. Hughes, do you say that it's women who are lying?"

"This interview is over." Dan stood and strode out of the room. This time, neither Grunson nor Tiffany did anything to stop him.

"Sure hope their tech guy managed to get that download," Rick said. "Otherwise we're all in trouble."

Did they get the download?
