Go up to the boss

You walk slowly through the room, taking in the sights of all the mafia members and the women. You reckon it must still be early as no action has gotten beyond oral yet, whether it's the women on the men or the other way around. You estimate around 25 men in dark suits and in the poor lighting, most of them could pass as brothers or cousins. Some of them probably are.

You're about to ask where Vladimir is, when you notice a solitary velvet lounge chair against the far wall and a man sitting in it with his legs crossed like a king on a throne. He's bald and slightly older than all the other men in the room and he is the only person wearing a crisp white shirt with his suit. You begin your approach towards him, taking your time to observe him. Curiously, this man is alone without the company of a scantily clad woman like the other men. He seems satisfied to be a spectator as he watches the action intently, scanning the room from left to right.

You step in front of the man and deactivate your mind control ring. It would be much simpler with mind control, but you're feeling a little excited to confront a real life mafia boss and could use the thrill. Of course, you're not going to hesitate to use your other rings should the need arise.

The man doesn't turn his attention to you immediately until his gaze lands on you in the midst of his scan of the room. He looks at your face and frowns, obviously knowing you shouldn't be back here.

"Are you Vladimir?" you ask.

"Who's asking?" He has a thick, almost stereotypical, Russian accent.

"A friend of Daria's."

The mention of Daria gets the man's full attention as he shifts in his seat, uncrossing his legs and sitting up straight. His expression changes from neutral to hostile. This is definitely Vladimir.

"Daria has no friends except for me," Vladimir says.

"Funny, that's what I was about to say," you respond with an arrogant chuckle.
