You bite down hard on the human’s neck, fangs piercing his skin. He yells out in pain and begins beating on you. No matter how many times he wails at you, fists pounding on your already bruised body, you don’t let go.

“Why *punch* won’t *punch* you *punch* just *punch* die?!” You’re not letting go damnit!

You can actually feel the knife moving with each blow. You shut your good eye and held on, praying that the knife stayed a little longer. The hits keep coming but they’re starting to lose **** to them. Soon they’re slowing down. His breathing more labored since you started.

“*Punch* Beaten… by a damn… dog…” His last words out, the large man began to fall backward. He hit the ground with a big thud, dissolving into sparkles. You land on the ground as well, the knife popping out and all the damage catching up. Weak, you use the little strength you had left and look up at the moon above.

“Guess I really am unique.” Smiling, you close your eye and ready to de-spawn.

DING!

…What the hell was that?

Opening your good eye, you suddenly don’t feel weak. Getting up, you actually feel better. Stronger even.

Did…did you just level up?

Suddenly, you lurch forward. Unknown energy surges into you. You can feel your wounds healing. Fangs sharpening to a point. Your body begins to grow longer, larger even. Bones mending themselves, becoming stronger. You’re becoming stronger. It’s all too much. Too much!

“AWWWOOOOOO!!!” You howl at the moon with all your might! A sense of renewed power in you. Your howl echoed through the quiet forest. Soon, the sound of distant howls joins you in your victory.

The air is gone from your lungs, and your howl slowly ends. Calming down, you wonder what has changed. Your status suddenly pops up.
