Floor 77

Why fuck around with it? You decide just to go straight for it. You’d have to head up that way at some point anyway and for all you know Ishikawa is up there getting tortured by Yoshida at the very moment. You finger hovers above the button for the seventy-seventh floor but you realize he must have some kind of security set up to prevent unwanted visitors. Ishikawa had had all manner of Yoshida’s physical information. You don’t. After some consideration, you hit the button for seventy-three. That is about as close as you want to risk it.

The elevator accepts your choice without comment and you ride up for quite along time. The elevator dings and the doors slide open. You slink out, keeping down and you head on a swivel. Nothing happens. You relax and glance around. You seem to be in a gym. As expected for the time of night, it is empty. Doesn’t seem like a high security area. You feel pleased with your choice. Now how to get up to Yoshida’s penthouse? It doesn’t seem possible to do internally. Maybe the vents but those were noisy and easy to get lost in. On the other hand, with this suit, you could scale the sheer external walls with ease.

You walk to a window and pop and diamond hard claw out of the forefinger of the glove on your right hand. You carve a hole big enough to crawl through and smile to yourself. This is when the job is fun. Getting to act like a thief out of an old comic book. Your mind flashes back to Yoshida cumming buckets into your mouth and your mood dampens somewhat. You suction the glass cutout to you glove and tug it free.

You squirm through the hole and start climbing the outside wall. You gloves and boots adapt perfectly to the climb, suctioning on and off the wall with the right application of pressure. You have to admit the CIA did come up with a hell of a suit. Even if the R&D costs where more than the GDP of several countries.

Once you make it to the seventy-seventh floor, you consider what to do next. A circuit around the building reveals no easy ingress. Your only option seems to be carving a hole in a window but you are certain that would set off alarms. Not only that but you can see Yoshida and two guards inside the penthouse. No Ishikawa, though, so there is that. Yoshida and his two guards will definitely know something is going on when a big chunk of a window goes missing, at the very least. You sigh. Oh, well. I work better under pressure anyway. One wall of Yoshida’s penthouse consists of floor to ceiling windows. You decide to enter there by carving a big half circle. There is no obvious alarm but you would be shocked if Yoshida and his security team weren’t getting some kind of alarm.

Your glove suctions to the glass and you pull it free and drop it. I hope no one is down there. As swiftly as possible, you pull yourself through the hole and roll away from it.

Yoshida is on his feet. “One of them is coming in. Shoot!”

“Shoot where?” one of the security men asks.

“The fucking hole, you moron!”

Both security guards start blasting but you are safely out of the way. You stifle a laugh and pad across the main room of the penthouse. The door to Yoshida’s bedroom catches your eye. I should slip in there while the three of them are distracted. The briefing had suggested that the item you were looking for would be in there.

You slink to the door and glance at the three. They are all still focused on the hole in the window. You place your hand on the handle of the door. Electricity runs through your body. Literally. Your hand is blasted away from the door and your muscles begin to spasm randomly. Worse, the shock has shorted out your suit and the camouflage has started to fail.

Gotta get out of here. You stumble to your feet but before you can even take a step, a person slams into you carrying you to the floor.
