Mira & Lex

Mira and Lex went away from the campfire to be alone, but still close enough to hear a shout or scream. The two lovers sat down in the thick roots of a nearby tree.

Mira laid her head on Lex’s shoulder, resting her eyes.

Lex took Mira’s hand in his and let out a sigh, ‘It’s so peaceful here, I really dread going down to that dwarven tomb after what Q’rin said about all the dangers.’

Mira snuggled against him and caressed his fingers in her hand, ‘He’s just trying to scare us, we’ll come through, like last time.’

‘You’re always so fearless,’ Lex said, smiling at Mira, ‘Some might call it foolhardy.’

‘Some?’ Mira lifted her head and raised her eyebrow at Lex.

Lex chuckled nervously, ‘No, not me. I think it’s inspiring.’

‘Uhuh, you could do with some more “foolhardiness”,’ Mira laughed.

‘One of us has to be cautious, right?’ Lex said.

Mira smiled and nodded, laying her head on his shoulder again, ‘You can be cautious for the both of us.’
