Police Department

{if GM==1}Maybe, a visit to the Police Department would clear things once and for all.

I hurriedly dress into casual clothes and exit the house. I don't see Julia anywhere around. I know that she can't be at work, as this is a weekend. I believe it's best not to let her know I going to the police station.

I close the front door quietly and excitedly walk towards the police station. I arrive at the well-lighted building and smile at the cop on duty. Her name tag says 'Hernandez'. I notice that the top two buttons of her uniform are unbuttoned-- showing some cleavage. I almost forget my reason for coming.

She smiles back. "You'll have to excuse the stuffiness in this room. The AC just broke. So... what can I do for you?" she asks in an almost motherly tone.

"I'd like to know about a **** case-- my mom's ****," I say with a slight stammer.

"What was her maiden name?"

"Samantha Johannson."

"And you are?"

"John Smith," I reply.

She types in a few keystrokes on the laptop that was centered on the desk. A few seconds later, she says, "It says here that any inquiries should be directed to Julia Smith. She's your sister, right?"

The disappointed look on my face says it all.

She smiles reassuringly. "So, I would guess that she's not telling you anything?"

I nod in agreement, my eyes glancing at the edge of the blue lace bra, slightly revealed by her unbuttoned top.

"I'm sorry, but the case details are locked up in storage, given that this is an old closed case. I could maybe search for it, but the would take time, and ..."

A younger woman approaches her, and hands her a folder. She glances at it briefly and says, "This is great, Pauline. Can you do the same thing for the months of April and May?"

The younger woman nods and walks back towards the room she had come from just a minute ago. I glance at her swaying ass and admire the well-toned legs that were highlighted by her khaki corduroy mini skirt.

Officer Hernandez finally looks back at me and says,"Well, that's it."
