Chapter 6 by bricktamland bricktamland

What store had what she needed?

Forever 19

Elizabeth dropped all of her purchases on the bed and started to sort through them. She'd gotten a little more than she intended, but reasoned it was a necessary expense for her cover. The store was marketed to young women, and was full of clothes she hadn't worn in fifteen years. She had intended to find something practical for cleaning that didn't scream 'maid', but upon retrospection, realized she'd focused too much on 'younger' and not enough on 'practical for cleaning'.

About the most practical clothing she actually got was a set of matching shorts and a floral halter top. It a much different style than she'd worn since, well, a long time. With her naturally young complexion, no one would mistake her for a 30 something woman, certainly not Megan's older sister. It was the kind of clothing a 19 year old college freshman would wear.

She looked at the shoes and sighed again. She hadn't meant to get anything but some practical black flats. What she ended up buying were white tennis shoes with thick chunky soles, and knee high socks.

"Well, I don't want to look totally frumpy," she reasoned to herself.

Jeff, her husband, walked into the bedroom while she was putting everything away.

"Honey, what the hell is going on? Are you buying presents for someone's niece?" he asked.

What's next?
