What is the text?

Michael wants to punish you painfully

With a slightly shaky hand you pick up your phone and swipe the message to open it. It is from Michael as you knew it would be. It is so like him also to write even a text message as a formal structured letter.

“Dear Jenna,

It pains me to say this but after looking back at how things went between us, I believe it would be fair and also in the best interest for future relationships for the both of us if I punish you.

Although I am aware via your LinkedIn you received a severe punishment today, other infractions cannot get in the way of discipline so I will punish you with a harsh whipping in your home. You can obviously decide who will be present but I do not expect any outside involvement and for all practical purposes it will be a one-on-one procedure.

You may be restrained for the duration of your whipping only and obviously safety guidelines will always be met. Also I do not intend to whip your genital area at any point and you may wear underwear as long as it leaves your buttocks mostly open (I may have to remove it otherwise).

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow at 7PM.

You lower your phone after you finish reading. Tomorrow at seven your ex has a worse ordeal planned for you than anything you have gone through already, impressive as that sounds. Granted, it will be in private, but being so recently punished will make tomorrow infinitely worse. You consider erasing the last two rules immediately but cannot bring yourself to do it and shut the Rulebook and tuck it onto the little bookshelf by the desk instead. You have already decided to let him have this one and you need to stick by your decisions, even if you did not expect something so painful. His icy polite tone (and the part where he says he looks forward to seeing you especially) makes your blood boil with shame and anger but somehow that makes the fear of what is coming even sweeter. You envision yourself screaming under his whip and fail to suppress a shudder.

You lift your phone again to give the message another look and suddenly realise what time it is. Diana will be coming any moment.
