As Buffy watched in silence, the woman known to her as Joyce Summers walked up to her and said, "Oh my gosh, Buffy! What happened? Why are you naked?"

Then she noticed the other Buffy in the room and said, "Why are there two of you? And why is only one of you dressed?"

"It's a long story, Mom," said Buffy. "I'm just glad you're here. Even if you don't seem to be from the same world as my original mom."

"Original mom?" asked Joyce. "What are you talking about?"

"Buffy and the other Buffy come from two separate worlds," said Amy. "In one, Buffy is mortal but got hit by a nudity curse that prevents her from wearing clothes. In the other, Buffy never got hurt by a curse but is no longer mortal either. In fact, she's a --"

"Oh, I see," said Joyce. "Kinda like what happened to me."

"Er, what do you mean, 'what happened to you'?" asked Buffy. "What are you talking about?"

"Well, you always used to warn me not to go outside after dark when we first moved to Sunnydale," said Joyce. "But I guess those warnings never really took until it was too late."

"What are you hinting at?" asked Buffy.

"You know what I'm hinting at," said Joyce. "But I guess I wouldn't be a good mother if I didn't show you."

And then Joyce smiled and showed off her two enlarged canine teeth. Teeth that looked suspiciously like fangs.
