No, you may not escape, you cowardly scum.
58
You end the battle with a lucky stab right in the neck and the demon crumples. Somehow it is able to convey its rage and pain through its blood filled gurgles, thrashing and writhing on the ground for several seconds before the life goes out of it. Around you the strange purple lights fade away to nothing, and you begin to hear the sounds of the street normally again.
As you see more clearly you discover the damage done to the shop by your skirmish. What would have been the counter lies in smithereens near the front door, itself cracked in many places. There are stacks of weapons overturned making parts of the floor very dangerous places, full of sharp and pointy objects. One of the windows has shattered.
You begin to feel woozy and the halberd you used to defend yourself gets heavier and heavier to you. You look down at yourself and find a nasty gash in your side, blood leaking and staining your clothes at an alarming rate. You try to move toward the door but feel your legs about to fail you. Letting the weapon clang to the floor you take as deep a breath as you can and call out for help just in time for your limbs fail you completely. Test your luck. If you are lucky, turn to 211. If you are unlucky, turn to 92.
