How do you respond?
Lie, but not too much
"Probably not," I said. "I'm not going to school right now. Took some time off before diving into that." I spoke without even really thinking, and I wasn't sure why I had dropped that lie.
"Really? I can respect that. I wish I had taken some time off to have some fun, not that I'm not at school," Todd said. "Speaking of, there's a party tonight on campus. You wanna come?"
My first instinct was to say no, but as I thought about it, it sounded more and more fun. Something about the idea was appealing.
