Chapter 4
by Dark_Ness
What's next?
Finishing the tests and heading home
The testing did take quite a while. A couple of situations arose while I was going through all of it which actually ended up pushing it until almost 7 PM. When I was finally done, it was concluded that I had been right in my initial guess. This body seemed to come from a reality fairly close to our own, but where I was younger and female. I had all of the right vaccines, I wasn't in danger of keeling over from some disease that I had never been prepared for (or passing one to anyone else), and I was a fully functional, normal woman.
The worst part, aside from the boredom that set in as the testing dragged on, was how I reacted to the doctor and other men I saw. My eyes followed them, and my body reacted to them. I tried to push the thoughts away, but as the testing dragged on, it grew harder and harder to do so.
When I was done, I was shown to my clothes. Or, rather, the clothes that this body came with. A black top that exposed a fair amount of cleavage and my stomach, a short skirt, and a pair of heels that were about 3 or 4 inches tall. It was the kind of outfit I had seen girls wear to parties or clubs.
I got dressed, begrudgingly. It felt like I was practically wearing nothing, and each move felt like I could be exposing my underwear. I grabbed the purse and headed to the nurses station, amazed that I could actually walk in the heels. Completing my checkout process, I made my way down to the exit.
One good thing about the breaks in the testing was that it had afforded me the chance to make some calls. I managed to call my parents, and work to let them know what had happened. They had all heard about the attack, obviously, and my boss was nice enough to tell me a could take a month or so off to adjust. Unfortunately, I was a bit limited from there. I didn't have Scott's number memorized, or the landlord's. I had to hope that my contacts were saved somewhere so I could get them back once I talked to my phone company.
Even still, I was limited in some ways. I didn't have my debit card, and the one I did have was linked to an account that didn't exist in this world. I had options. I could call someone for a ride. Family, but that would mean showing them my new body sooner than I would like. I had some cash, so I could take the bus. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough for a cab or anything. Outside of that was walking, and in the shoes I had, that didn't seem wise.
How do you get home?

The Reality Bomb
A life changing event
Alternate realities were discovered a decade ago. An exciting discovery, to be sure. Of course, some less than upstanding individuals decided to find a way to weaponize this discovery. They created weapons which could people into these alternate realities, or swap aspects of individuals between them. This is the story of one of the victims of such an attack. *Public*
