I don't want to start any blasphemous rumors but I think that Dru's got a sick sense of humor...

"Oh, my God!" said Kennedy as she stared at the fangs on the woman in white. "Buffy's a vampire."

"Not our Buffy," said Willow. "A Buffy. For all we know, this Buffy is totally unrelated to the Buffy we know."

"Yeah, you two keep telling yourself that," said the woman in white whom almost everyone in the room was already mentally nicknaming Vamp Buffy.

"How could this happen?" asked Jenny Calendar.

"I have no idea," said Tara. "Do you, Amy?"

"Don't look at me," said Amy. "I would not have imagined this scenario in a million years."

"Definitely not bored now," said Vamp Willow.

"Oh, please," said the original Buffy, forgetting her nakedness for the time being. "That woman is obviously not me. This is just some trick on Drusilla's part."

"I don't know," said Willow. "She looks pretty real to me."

Buffy snorted. "What did you do, Drusilla? Bite a person who looks like me? Create a clone? Kidnap a distant cousin who just happens to resemble me?"

Drusilla said, "Buffy, I'm so surprised to hear you saying such mean things about me."

"I am curious to know the reason for this woman's existence myself," said the Count. "Surely you are not so cruel as to have done any of the things Mademoiselle Summers has accused you of, Drusilla?"

"Of course not, Monsieur Count," said Drusilla. "Like I said, I found Miss Summers here on another world -- a world in Buffy's future. One of them, at least. Then I just happened to bring her here for curiosity's sake."

"You must have made a mistake, Drusilla," said Buffy. "That woman cannot possibly be me. I'd rather go naked forever than become a vampire."

Vamp Buffy smiled. "Sure, you say that now. But didn't you once say something similar about being a Slayer? I certainly didn't remember being all that eager to become a Slayer when I was a teenager. Heck, I wanted to be the next Nancy Kerrigan. Instead I met Giles and became a Slayer. Not overnight, of course, but slowly and surely I got used to it to the point that I could not imagine being anything else. And I went through the same process when I became a vampire. You do anything long enough, you get used to it. And it's not like I hate the person who did this to me. Yes, it would have nice if he had gotten my permission first but after all the nightmares I had about dying when I was growing up, it was kinda nice to be able to forget all that for a while."

"You are not me," said Buffy, shaking an angry finger at Vamp Buffy.

"Fine," said Vamp Buffy with a shrug. "So I'm not you. I wouldn't want to be. All that bare skin... It's embarrassing. And you're not even bothering to cover yourself either. Were you raised in a barn or something? No, wait. Knowing you, you probably believe you were born in a manger."

"It's a good thing for you I don't have any weapons on me," said Buffy. "If we were back in Sunnydale, I'd be pounding a stake right through your heart right now."

Vamp Buffy replied, "You're welcome to try."

Then Vamp Buffy reached into her clutch purse and got out something small and sharp. "In fact, I'll even help you out," she said.

With that, Vamp Buffy tossed the item in her hands into Buffy's hands. Buffy automatically caught it, only to realize that Vamp Buffy had thrown her a small wooden stake.

At that point, Vamp Buffy tore open the top part of her dress and bared her chest in Buffy's direction.

"Go ahead," said Vamp Buffy. "Give it your best shot."
