"What do you mean I've always been naked?" asked Buffy.

"Well, when you first moved to Sunnydale," said Jenny Calendar, "you were already a practicing nudist. It used to embarrass your mother big time though to tell the truth, I suspect Joyce did quite a bit of skyclad activity in her younger days as well. Anyway, your mother managed to get permission from the high school for you to attend all your classes naked -- though gym and home ec were a little tricky, I'd imagine -- but she was never really happy about it. She was almost happy to find out you were a Slayer. For some reason, she thought that you being the Chosen One would mean you would start wearing clothes but you never did."

"Why was I a nudist?" asked Buffy.

"She never did find out," said Jenny. "She sent you to quite a few psychiatrists -- in fact, she even toyed with the idea of putting you in a mental hospital but of course, the Joyce I know would never have the heart to go through with something like that. I'm quite sure that your version of Joyce was the same."

"Um...." said Buffy.

"Anyway," said Jenny, "for the longest while she feared that it was genetic. That you were a victim of something like the Lovato Family Curse or else you accidentally got hold of something like the Fregosi Emerald -- or worse yet, the Nathanson Ruby. But then Dawn came along and she realized that it wasn't genetic. Though come to think of it, Dawn is always a bit too fond of clothing so perhaps that was karma's way of balancing things out."

"So it wasn't a nudity curse that caused it?" asked Buffy.

"As far as I can tell, no," said Jenny. "But then I don't know a whole lot about curses."

"But you were -- er, are a technopagan, right?" asked Buffy.

"Why, yes, I am," said Jenny. "But that doesn't mean I know everything about the supernatural."

"Well, in my world, you helped my version of Willow remove the curse from Angel so maybe you could do something similar for me," said Buffy.

"I'm sorry, Buffy," said Jenny. "I'd really like to help you but like I just said, I don't know a whole lot about curses. And anyway, who's Angel?"
