Max is reprogrammed.

"Where are the other escapes Max?" Lydecker asked. He watched the conflict in her eyes as she tried resiting answering his question.

"I don't know," she replied back quietly, ashamed with herself for being weak and answering him. She should have been able to fight this. She should of told him to go fuck himself.

A look of disappointment crossed Lydeckers face. He had hoped he would at least learn the locations of some of the other escapes before he reprogrammed Max. He shook his head, none of the less, he still had Max back.

"Strap yourself back into the seat," he ordered Max. Smirking as she sat back down in the chair and pulled the restraints tight. The fear was evident in her eyes as he helped her pull tight the restraints on her remaining free hand.

Max watched Lydecker leave the room. Happy to at least disappoint the old man.

"Continue with the reprogramming" Lydecker told the Doctor that stood waiting just outside the room.

"Yes sir." the Doctor replied as he reentered the room.

"No, get away from me, Nooooo!"

Lydecker smiled as he heard Max's muffled screams of protest through the thick Manticore walls. Happy to finally have her back.

....

36 hours later.

Lydecker looked down at Max, who was sleeping peacefully in her cot. "Is it done?" he asked the Doctor who stood beside him.

"Yes sir. Reprogramming took slightly longer than expected. She put up quite a fight. But in the end she succumbed just like everyone else.?

"Good." he replied to the Doctor, waving his hand dismissing him. "Solder!" he yelled at the sleeping Max.

Max jerked awake, her eyes snapping open to find Lydecker standing over her. Quickly she jumped up. Her arms stiff at her sides as she stood at attention. "Sir!"

"Name and rank solder!"

"X5-452, Manticore Special Forces Sir." Max replied quickly with the precision of a trained solder. Earning a large grin from Lydecker, the reprogramming had worked perfectly.
