How does Sayen's meeting with Pitt go?

It goes well

"Is everything okay?" Sayen asked as she took a seat. "Mom?"

"Yes she's fine, everyone's fine. I just wanted to take some time to get to know you better."

"Ahh."

An awkward silence followed.

"I admit, I'm not good at this," Pitt said, finally breaking the silence.

"It's okay."

"You making lots of new friends?"

"Yeah, a few."

"I promise I won't ask about boyfriends, I mean unless that's something you want to talk about."

"Not especially," Sayen said with a laugh. "Not that I talk to mom much about that stuff either."

"But know, if you ever need advice, or a sounding board, I'm available."

"I appreciate that," Sayen responded sincerely.

Pitt took a deep breath.

"I love your mom so much. She was a ray of sunshine in a dark time. I've made some mistakes, some big, almost made others. But she really is, the best thing that ever happened to me."

Sayen smiled and could see the honestly of Pitt's words though it was clear something else was bothering him.

"I know picking up and moving wasn't ideal for you."

"To be honest, I wasn't that sad about getting away, I've made mistakes too," Sayen said, looking down. "Really the only bad thing has been not seeing grandpa and grandma as often."

"Well, if you ever just want to fly off and go see them, I'd be glad to help."

"Thank you," Sayen said, though sh'd feel guilty taking his money, she appreciated the thought.

"Well I won't keep you any longer, thanks for the talk," Pitt said, extending his hand."

"It was... nice," Sayen said with a smile, shaking his hand.

As she exited the cabin she looked around for Alex, but only saw Axe sitting there, looking bored.

"Where did Alex go," she asked.

"Took off," Axe said, somewhat annoyed.

"Bianca?"

"Took off after him."

"Oh," Sayen responded. "Well, should we go?"

Axe suddenly jumped up and bowed to her.

"It would be my honor to escort m'lady to the ball," he said.
