An unhappy reunion

I chuckled nervously as Yvonne and the nurse’s assistant both smirked. Yvonne and I both shared eye contact briefly before she shrugged her shoulders. “Well, best not keep the Nurse waiting.” She said.

Just then the assistant stepped aside as the patient walked out holding her clothes to her chest, still bare naked with nothing on, not even her socks. She had her head hung down, her brunette hair covering up some of her face before she turned and bumped into me. She looked up and we both gasped.

“J-Jessica!”

“Alex?”

Oh my god.

Yvonne giggled behind her, “I’m guessing you two know each other? She’s well known through the school though so, don’t be too surprised haha.” Jessica looked away and sort of raised her like of clothes a bit in a feeble attempt to hide her face. I stepped back still a bit shocked. We haven’t seen each other since our first date ended in a... in an odd way. We both kind of felt we weren’t exactly up for a second one so soon.

“Why um... why didn’t you call me back?” She asked. A lump formed in my throat as I started getting a bit nervous. “I told you I would make the effort if you did right? We both agreed to take it slow, I just..”

“It’s umm... a-a lot happened since then Jess. But not like I changed my mind or anything, I just got really sidetracked. I know I should’ve called you or texted you, but you know you could have called me too.”

“Ouch.” Yvonne said with Jessica raising her eyes. I lifted my hands up, I think I said the wrong words. “No-no no, not like that I didn’t mean that! It’s just I-I-” She frowned and stomped ahead, pushing me to the side. “You know I get it, I’m just a girl you probably got lucky with. Maybe even bragged toyour friends huh?”

“Ohhhh, that’s what Lisa was talking about! You’re that guy who was banging her back at Becky’s party a few weeks ago!” Both Jessica and I looked back at her with open mouths as she shrugged. “Or at least, I think you were I don’t know. Lisa mentioned something about a pretty boy bragging about some slut named Jessie. But you’re Jessica so it’s probably not you.”

I turned around to see Jessica glare at me and shake her head. “Smooth Alex. Real smooth.” Damn it. “Wait Jess, just gimme a second and I can exp-” She raised her hand up. “You know, I don’t wanna hear it right now. I’ve had a lot going on for me as well you know. Just... I need some time. Don’t worry, this time I will call you first.” She turner around and three the door open before slamming it. Both Yvonne and I winced upon hearing it shut hard, why did she storm out still naked though?

“Ooof, tough love kid. No worries, she’s been around a lot so I’m sure you’ll get your shot with her again later.” Turning to face her, I started off saying she wasn’t helping when the nurse’s assistant grabbed me by the arm. “Alex, she’s been waiting. Please.”

I sighed, “Fine, I’ll go, I’ll go. Just... never mind.” I shook my head as we walked through the bead curtain. The appointment hasn’t even started and already I hate it.

Talk about an unhappy reunion.
