Inside the locker room

You activate your mind control ring before you enter. You don't feel the need to be invisible, but you want to be prepared just in case Owens gets aggressive when he sees you. You're not sure if your reflexes would be fast enough and you definitely couldn't last more than a few seconds in a fight with the trained professional.

You enter the locker room, which turns out to be spacious and massive enough to accommodate an entire sports team, although it appears to be empty. You're about to turn around and go check out the other locker room, when you notice an open locker at the far end of the room and a gym bag inside. You go over to investigate, and you see the blue shorts the losing fighter was wearing lying on top a heap of clothes in the gym bag. Owens must still be here, likely in the showers, although you don't hear any water running. You start to walk towards the shower area, before you pause. As much as you would like to find out if the match had been fixed, you don't really want to walk in on the fighter naked.

You're still considering if you want to go find Owens or wait until he's done with the showers and dressed, when you hear a soft yet familiar sounding groan. You hold your breath and listen closely. It's a while before you hear the groan again. It's distinctly male and you realize why you thought you had heard it before. From ringside during the fight, you had heard Owens make that groan many times before with each hit and kick he took. Maybe he's still hurting from the fight you guess, and that curiosity drives you to go closer to the shower area and poke your head around the wall separating it from the locker area.
