Over Three Months Earlier.... The Twins' Side

"Leave me alone you scum!"

"What's the problem? It's not like it would be our first time."

Rienlest had Lethila pushed against the wall of an empty corridor in the palace. Her mother was still on the front line, so his lusts were now focused on her. She knew he was a great fuck, but she wasn't willing to give in to him. The "First time" that he was referring to had been years ago. Her father had just been buried and she was alone and crying in her room. He came in to "investigate" the sobbing he had heard and under the pretense of comforting her, had taken advantage of her. She had later overheard him saying to one of his servants that he had picked her because he believed she was going to inherit the throne one day and was hedging his bets. She had been nothing more than a pawn in his game.

"I said back off!" Lethila pushed him away and stormed off down the corridor. He had already learned that she was on to him, so he wasn't even attempting to hide that he just wanted to get her in bed. Her mother was already on the way back from the front lines and could show up at any moment, but he was still trying to get in a quick lay before she got there. Rienlest didn't follow her and instead moved on to find easier game.

"My lady, are you alright?"

"...."

Mitri didn't answer, but the maid didn't expect anything like that. The princess simply gave her a shy smile and nodded. She hadn't touched her breakfast, so it wasn't surprising that the servants would be worried. Her shy nature had both endeared her to her people and worried them at the same time. Her mother had been shy in her youth as well, but not nearly to the same extent. The maid produced plate of candied fruit from behind her back and slowly waved it back and forth in front of the princess. She tried to ignore it, but her sweet tooth was ravenous and just as famous as her shy nature. Within moments, Mitri was staring at the plate with big, hungry eyes.

"What to we say," teased the maid with a gentle smile.

".... Please?"

"Was that so hard?"

The maid handed over the plate and she quickly devoured the food. Mitri smiled up at her and returned the plate. The maid gave a slight bow and took it before heading back to the kitchen. Ever since their father had passed, Mitri was only really known for socializing with her mother, sister, and Gailand Brand. Few others got more than one or two words out of her before the gave up.

A few days later, the queen and her entourage arrived in the capital with a few new faces in tow. The princess were awaiting them at the gate but found an odd sight coming into view. They had heard the reports of course, but that their mother had brought them here was well was causing quite the stir among her people. Walking beside Ethimilee's horse was a powerfully built male Orc with twin blades strapped to his lower back. A few steps behind him was a female Orc with a dagger at her waist and a bow and quiver of arrows on her back.

As Lethila watched, a soldier stepped up next to her and acted like he was trying to protect her. She smiled at the man and waved him back. Valhren Manze was a loyal soldier, and completely in love with her. She didn't deserve him. He knew more about her than was good for either of them, and he still accepted that she was a bit of a slut. She knew his feelings for her and tried her best to pretend like he wasn't in love with her.

On her other side, Mitri as watching the male Orc with eyes full of wonder. While Lethila actively sought out information about the other races and lands around them, Mitri was content to sit on her own and read her fantasy stories filled with dashing adventurers and romance. She didn't know the real world like Lethila.

Later that night as they sat together in the throne room, Ethimilee introduced her daughters to Broden and Mis'Ra, the two who would be responsible for great change in their country. In about three months, everything would start to come to a peak as their lives were changed forever.
