In the Village Square

That’s right, they said they’d be in the village square! Rushing over, grin spread wide, you slip in between a crowd of people to get through to where your friends are. Passing by a small family you emerge out of the crowd into the center of the village square. Shops are dotted all around you. Beautiful ornate rugs, all assortments of fruits and vegetables, clothes of all sizes and colors on display, and many more items and trinkets can be found to the west. Looking East you see restaurants and pubs lining the cobblestone path. The scent of delicious foods flirt with your nose causing you to unconsciously take a few steps in that direction. A horse with knight poised atop breaks your trance with the loud clops of its hooves. You open your eyes but it’s too late, your feet betray you and you walk into the side of the horse. Stumbling back, you regain your footing. The knight atop the horse glances towards you.

“You should watch where you’re going. Instead of droning about aimlessly come to the barracks outside the castle. Maybe you might find a way to occupy yourself.”

“Oh I wasn’t droning about sir-” You start, but the knight has already trotted off north towards the castle grounds.

Friends nowhere to be found, you figure they’ve already left. Disappointed and alone, you decide the best you can do is search for them. Or maybe...
