A Meeting at the Bronze

The last thing Buffy-in-Faith felt like doing when she was done with the art class was clubbing but if she was going to catch up with Faith, the Bronze seemed the most logical place to go.

She saw no sign of Faith when she got there so she went to the bar and ordered herself a drink. Buffy-in-Faith had gotten so used to avoiding **** while she was either in training or on patrol that she found herself automatically ordering a Shirley Temple.

I suppose it's just as well, Buffy-in-Faith thought. I had quite a few wine coolers earlier this evening and as nice as it would be to have another one right now, I probably should stay sober in case Kathy shows up.

Besides, the club seemed kinda dead as far as Buffy-in-Faith was concerned. Just a few students from either Sunnydale High or the local college were on the dance floor including some crazy blonde girl who was dancing without her clothes on...

Wait! thought Buffy-in-Faith. That's supposed to be me. Er, I mean, that's Faith in me.

Sounds like a church song, said one of her inner voices.

Oh, shut up, thought Buffy-in-Faith. That is Faith. But what has she done to my body? I never had tattoos like that on my -- ahem -- backside. And is that a metal piercing I see on my nipple? No, worse yet. On both nipples! And between my legs as well. Ouch! Where did Faith get the idea she could do all that to my body?

Buffy-in-Faith knew that she should go over and talk to Faith-in-Buffy but she felt too angry to leave her bar stool. It seemed best that she calm down before she tried to have a talk with Faith-in-Buffy anyway, because she was going to have a hard enough time trying to convince her about Kathy as it was.

"I don't blame you for staring at her so much," said a feminine voice by her side. "She does kinda stand out in a crowd -- and she definitely is very easy on the eyes. It almost makes me want to switch teams, so to speak."

"Actually, that's not why I was staring at her," said Buffy-in-Faith as she turned to talk to the woman who was sitting next to her at the bar.

Then Buffy-in-Faith paused when she suddenly noticed that the woman who had just spoken to her was Kathy Newman.

At that point, Kathy just smiled at her and said, "Hey! I know you. Your face looks very familiar."
