Vault Prototype One.

The first thing I built in my vault was a lab. I spent my time there at first developing a **** I would lace into the water supply.

The supply system went to an aquifer and would last a small population for at least the end of my life. I had a plumber come in and install two reservoirs beneath the vault. One going to a personal water supply I would access and the other going to the public water supply which all the other inhabitants of the shelter would use.

The vault was a complex maze. I tried to make it as welcoming and cozy as possible but it still had the feel of a prison because of the confines of the underground. There were many rooms, a large lounge with TV and sofas, a dining area, a immense storeroom of canned goods and other essential, as well as a hydroponic farm room with vegetables and fruits. There was a room with tanks of farmed fish and egg-laying chickens. Food wouldn't be a problem. The shelter was energy efficient and ran on wind and solar power.

There were various other recreational and life-supporting rooms which I will get into later.

The rooms had fingerprint locks with reinforced steel doors. I would make sure to close off the command center, my own room's bathroom where I would source my untainted water for personal use and any other rooms I would deem off-limits to the rest of the vault dwellers.

When the shelter was finally completed, I went into my lab and worked on the serum I would lace into the vault dweller's water supply.
