The World of Flash Gordon

Pulp Heroes, those who were the ancestor of many different heroes including Superheroes. One of these pulp heroes is an all-american boy who battles an evil emperor. Flash (Ah-awe!) Gordon. There have been comic books or pulp magazines, evolving into movie serials, then cartoons, a full length movie, and a live action TV show. Our hero battles the Evil Emperor Ming the Merciless. Join by a reporter and a mad scientist, and later others like the Ming's own daughter, Alura.

So we not only have to ask which one of these heroes and villains gain the Yes Man's Ring... but also which version of those characters from the various different types of media to use. So who gain the ring, and which version of them is it?
