Lubra charged forward at the leader. You ready your sabre aiming for the kneck of the assassin to the right of him. The leader jumps to the side, losing his sword but surviving the charge. You sabre cuts the neck of the assassin beside him and the momentum combined with the mortal blow sends him to the ground clutching his throat.

You could run at this point you were clear of all the men and have the horn. You would sacrifice Lubra's yurt and there would be no guarantee that you will be safe in the castle. Lubra, not ready to sacrifice her home weals around and charges again there are now 3 men standing with 4 behind them with the commander on the ground alive but defenceless.

If only you had the shield that was inside the Yurt you could protect your self and Lubra as she charged. No matter as Lubra charged again her long spear reached the men on the front line before any of their swords reached either of you. You combined momentum carried you through the group of men. Lubra knocked down and trampled one of the back men you cut through the two men to the right of the gap Lubra made.

Lubra could not lean back in the saddle to take the **** of the charge and the spear was ripped from her hands it was embedded in the chest of the man she killed. She knew this was a possibility in a charge but killing two men was worth the risk especially counting the two you had been able to kill by moving through the group.

The Yurt stoped Lubra's advance and she wheeled around to find that the assassins had regrouped with their leader back up and armed. However, because of your devastating charge, there was now 4 men in total. Lubra was, however, unarmed and did not have her shield. Lubra had no room to charge as the men closed in

"You have lost 5 men, surrender and we will let you live. You will be proof of my father's plot." You shouted as they advanced.

"Your beast is disarmed and you are but a girl no match even mounted for us in close combat." The leader taunted.

"Disarmed you say?" Lubra questioned in a mocking tone. As they approached the two of you swivelled around. This would have been impossible on horseback as you would sacrifice the rains and wouldn't be able to teach a horse to swivvle on command but a centaur is no horse and has no need for rains. You now faced Lubra's magnificent ass as it reared up to kick the leader square in the chest denting his armour with her horseshoes. As you swivelled you sliced at the two men on her right. One slice cut the man's throat the other missed because the assassin took a step back you then blocked a swipe from an assassin to Lubra's left. The man who dodged and the other on the left did get blows in, however.

The man on the left went for a slash at your chest. His sword was ineffective against your armour but would leave a bruise. The one who dodged your slash went for a lunge at Lubra. He aimed low at Lubra's foreleg on what was now her left side. It pierced the chainmail but not by much leaving a superficial wound in her leg.

As you parried another attack from the man you were engaged with Lubra kicked out at him with her back hooves and tried to grapple the man who had stabbed her as he came round to attack her less armoured human front. He slashed weakly at her arms as the last man tried to strike you with the pommel of his sword. However, Lubra's movements to kick the man and grapple the other moved you in the saddle away from his strike.

The kick sent the man to his knees where you quickly slit his throat and turned your attention to the man who had been striking at you. The man at Lubra's front had slashed against Lubra's unprotected arms.

You leapt from Lubra onto the man you were facing and Lubra reared up and kicked the man she was facing in the head. It did not kill him but knocked him out. You and the man had both lost your weapons and were wrestling in the mud. In your heavy armour, you sat on top of him trying to do some damage to him or pin him as he fought against you. He was much stronger than you and more manoeuvrable in his gambison but the weight of your armour gave you an edge. He held your hands up above your head but was unable to wriggle out from under you. Lubra picked up your sabre and pointed it at his throat.

"Surender or die" She gave him the Ultimatum.

"I will never surrender to a beast and a freak." he spat in your face then Lubra stabbed him in his.

You got up and went over to the commander. He was still alive his breastplate caved in by the two hooves. He was coughing and spluttering and could not move his legs. Lubra had broken his ribs and his spine paralysing him from the waist down.

"You have killed my men and crippled me. Please put a blade in my hand and let me fight you so I may die with honour." The man demanded.

"You insulted Lubra and me but you also gave us a deal and did not ambush us like you could have. I will grant your request unless you will listen to my deal" You tell him.

"What is your deal?" he asked

"As you said, you fought with honour. We will care for you best we can and take you to the best healers at the castle. You will confirm our accusations against my father. You get to live and may be fully restored if all of my plans come to be. What say you?" You explain.
