Eventually

As could probably be expected, despite Riku's resigned assurance that just her underwear was fine, Kairi most certainly did not feel the same way. However, as she turned and began to run back into the bathroom, Riku grabbed her arm and held her in place.

"Let go, Riku!" But despite her protests and struggling, Riku did not relax his grip. At this point, he was almost certain that if he let Kairi remain entrenched in her bizarre pattern, he'd never make any progress towards actually dealing with this.

Then, all of a sudden, Kairi stopped struggling. "Huh? Hey, Riku, why are you holding my arm?"

Oh. Well. That was... weird. She had mentioned forgetting things before, hadn't she? It certainly explained a lot. With that said, it was probably a good idea to test the extent of said memory loss. Time to ask some questions.

"Kairi, what did you have for breakfast yesterday?"

Kairi just gave Riku a confused look. "Umm... pancakes. Why?"

Okay, so she could still remember what happened yesterday. That was good. "Who won the sparring match between me and Sora this morning?"

"Sora did. Is there a point to this?"

And she could remember what happened before her nap today. Alright. "What have you done since you woke up?"

"Umm... first I took a shower, and then I... walked in and out of the hut a bunch of times for some reason... and then I talked to you... and then I walked in and out of the bathroom a few times. That's weird... I can't seem to remember why I did those things..."

Riku had officially struck the heart of the matter, and it wasn't at all what he was expecting. But just to make sure... "What are you wearing right now?"

"Umm... good question..." Kairi looked down at herself. "Aaah! Why didn't you tell me I was in my underwear, you jerk?!"

Riku let Kairi run into the bathroom this time. He had all the information he needed. For some reason, she was immediately forgetting anything that had to do with what she was or wasn't wearing. But how to deal with this situation...
