Contractual Obligations !

Debbi and Harry were perusing the following days papers. Day three and the news agenda had moved on, even for the gossip hungry tabloids. Bimbo Wag was no longer front page news, much to Debbi's relief. The Star had recycled a few more photos from the knicker catalogue but without any real story to accompany them. And there was an opinion piece from the bitchy woman columnist in the Mail, dissecting the debacle of Debbi's appearance before the TV show panel. But things were calming down. The Sun did have paparazzi photos of Debbi and the footballer Roddy leaving the same hotel separately. 'Roddy's Love Nest With Bimbo Wag !'

They had met together with their advisers to go over the contract and specify Debbi's duties as a beard. She would attend a few matches, accompany Roddy ( the cultured footballer ) to the opera and gallery openings and, if England qualified for the World Cup finals, swan around the pool in a bikini for the paps with the other wags. Roddy, who seemed shy and rather sweet, apologised for the hassle she had faced, though his advisers issued a gagging order regarding any further mentions of Roddy in interviews, after the already arranged photo shoot with the lads mag. It was agreed that Debbi was free to shag whoever she wanted but she would invalidate the contract if any 'infidelities' came out in the press. "Can you trust these friends of yours, Lawrence and Lesley ?" Harry had asked. "Oh yes, implicitly" was Debbi's confident reply !

Harry tossed the paper's aside. "You shouldn't get any more hassle on a daily basis" he told Debbi. "Only when you're out with Roddy. Are you OK with that arrangement ?" Debbi didn't know. "It's a bit weird. It might be OK if we can be kind of mates, like I was with Lawrence when I still thought he was gay. Then it depends how often I'm supposed to be out and about with him. I've still got my job to consider" she said. "It won't be a lifetime gig. Just to put the media off the scent for a while, then we can engineer a tearful but amicable split !" Harry answered. Debbi was calmed a little. "I guess I'll need some PR representation again then ?" she laughed. Harry agreed.

"Right, let's get you over to this photographic studio for the lads mag. I know you're quite used to posing for this Lawrence. These people will have their own agenda and you'll have to bend a little to their requirements but don't agree to anything you're not comfortable with !"
