No interruptions

The beautiful mother and daughter couple were at a restaurant, called Cafe Grande. While they were waiting for their dishes, Meredith decided to talk first, "So, did you and the girls figure out where you guys wanted to go to?", which Asani nonchalantly replied, "No, not yet.". Meredith faintly smiles at her daughter, "Well, you girls still have quite a bit of time to figure it out. I'm just so excited to see your graduation speech. I know you've practiced it on me, but I seriously cannot wait for everyone else to hear it. It's a great speech.", hearing about the graduation Asani's heart sunk, but her body started to heat up again. Meredith noticed Asani's reaction and asked worriedly, "What's wrong, sweetie? You were so excited about graduation a few days ago. Did it have something to do with the letter?".

Asani took a large gulp of water from a cup of water that the waiter had placed, and nervously told her mother, "I'm, *sighs* I'm a Siren, mom. The letter was about me being a Siren and that going to Poth as soon as possible will be beneficial for me.". The young Siren looked at her mother to gauge her reaction and her heart broke. Meredith's eyes were starting to tear up and she struggled to keep her breathing normal, "No, no, no, no. You were to supposed to go the Princeton for college and become a successful businesswoman.". Asani tried to calm her mother down and told her, "I can still be a successful businesswoman, there are a lot of Sirens that are. Nothing's really changed, besides the power and sex thing, but I'm still your little girl.", Meredith scoffed at Asani's words. "But no one will take you seriously and we all know that Sirens sleep their way to the top. I raised you better than that, I raised you to use your brains to rise up not sex your way up!", Meredith's voice starts to rise as she explains to her daughter, "I don't want you to go to Pothe, stay here and don't be a Siren!". The waiter coughs and awkwardly puts down a couple of dishes for the women while doing so he checks out Asani, to which he receives an evil look from Meredith.

"Mom. I don't want to be a Siren either, but that's just how it is. I can try and deny the title and nature, but you and I both know that doing so will kill me.", Meredith didn't seem like she wanted to hear Asani, "Going to Pothe will be the best decision, as they would at least teach me how to control my powers. Plus if I'm there I'll be with others that understand the transition from normal human to Siren. I love you, mom, and I do want a normal life, but Pothe will help get me the next closest to a normal life.". Asani made a lot of sense to her mother, but Meredith didn't want to admit it, "Fine, forget it. Let's eat our food then.", Asani felt awkward about eating now and asked her mother, "Uhh, can we just have this to go?". Meredith looks at her daughter and tells her, "Eat.", to which Asani reluctantly does so.

After they were done eating and paying the bill, the two women get up and leave. Although as Asani was about to leave, their waiter came up to her and asked her for her number. Meredith seeing this looked obviously upset at the young man's actions. Asani declined to give her number to him, as she knew he heard the argument of her being a Siren. Still, the idea that he was ballsy enough to volunteer as a sexual helper in front of her mother was a bit of a turn on for her.
