Propositions !

Harry was busy wheeling and dealing on the phones as Debbi tried to pull herself together. Lawrence was amused and supportive. He had a reasonably high level of confidence in Sunil's ability to have hidden his more nefarious online activities regarding Debbi. "Better get dressed love" said Harry. Debbi was still in the t-shirt and knickers she'd been wearing all morning. "The team from the Sun are due, I've negotiated an exclusive with you for them." Debbi dressed in her best business suit for the reporters. She was determined that they portray her real self as a hard working and professional business woman. They dutifully took down all these details. "But it's all a bit tame darling, we need something more than that for an exclusive !"

Debbi explained that any relationship with the star footballer was in its infancy. Harry suggested they go with the big hearted girl with a social conscience angle, helping the water charity by posing naked for their calendars. Lawrence negotiated a nice fee for himself by supplying out takes from both India and Costa Rica to give the paper its desired quota of tits and ass. Debbi was disappointed that these would be plastered in the national press to add to today's photo but she realised she had to give a little to get her side of the story across. The reporters seemed satisfied and she posed in her business suit for their photographer. " A bit more leg babe."

Harry took Debbi to one side as Lawrence showed the reporters out. While chatting Lawrence let slip about the tribal chief and the effects of the potent jungle brew while in Costa Rica. Harry on the other hand, had a confidential proposition he didn't want Lawrence to hear. "I've heard from Roddy Powell's people. They want to put you on a contract to be a beard." Debbi was confused. "They want me to grow a beard ?" she exclaimed. "Shush ! No, to be a beard. You know what that means ?" Debbi had never come across the term. Harry explained that a beard was a female companion for a gay man, used to disguise his real sexuality. "No major footballer has ever come out openly and our Roddy doesn't want to be the first" Harry explained.

Debbi was thrown off balance, more so when Harry began mentioning figures for what she would be paid as a retainer ! "I can't decide something like that straight away. Can I meet him first ?" she hesitated. "I'll set that up but you'll have to sign a confidentiality agreement." Debbi felt a little insulted. She wasn't the kind of girl who would run to the papers. But she understood. "Oh, and I've got a lucrative offer for you to pose for a lads mag" Harry announced loudly as they went to rejoin Lawrence !
