A day in Oxford

Spencer looked to Ashley, who was still sleeping with a smile on her face. That smile grew when he kissed her forehead.

"Morning." She whispered.

"Morning sexy."

Ashley traced her finger up and down Spencer's chest. "Any plans for today?"

"Have you been to the art gallery in Oxford?"

"No. That a nearby town?"

"Yeah."

"Sounds like a day out."

"Perfect."

After the two went through a morning routine, Spencer drove to the Oxford gallery. Whilst there was nothing new for Spencer to look at, Ashley took the time to absorb every piece of art in there on a much deeper level than Spencer ever could. He didn't mind though, as seeing her smile was better than any painting.

Out of the gallery, Ashley checked the time on her phone. "Oh jeez. Time really does fly by."

"So you had a good time?"

"Yeah."

"Well that's the main thing. You hungry?"

Ashley nodded. "Sure."

After a quick lunch at the local diner, the two decided to walk around at the nearby park. Although the move from Maine had seemed like a huge re-shuffle for her life, her luck was seeming to improve, having stumbled into a caring man who had shown her the upsides to the quiet country life she'd stumbled into. For the first time, she was starting to believe that the move will prove to be the new start that she needed.

The two sit down on a park bench, where Ashley asked "So you got anything else planned for the day?"

"Uhh, spend time with you?"

"Sure, but apart from that?"

"I dunno. Do you wanna come over to my place?"

"Sure. So where do you live?"

"Oh I bought an old farmhouse that I've been restoring."

"Ah, retired life huh?"

"Yeah but it's pretty much finishing touches now." Spencer looked into his girlfriend's eyes as his hand braves her thigh. "Guess I'm ready for the next adventure."

Ashley smiled back at Spencer. "Guess we both are."
